Should you do a Photoshoot prep?

So you have seen a few of my clients, some ladies on insta and maybe a few of your friends all looking incredible on a photoshoot and now your wondering if its something you should do, my reply is always going to be yes! and here are a few reasons why.

Its a goal that is personal to you - going on stage you have to fit the criteria way to do well i.e level of condition and muscularity but a photo shoot you come as you in the body you feel most confident in. for example as much as I know being lean looks kinda cool I actually don’t feel sexy at all being stage lean if I was doing a beach or boudoir shoot I would rather shoot around 5-6kg up from my stage weight as thats where I am most confident and that will change person to person. you pick a look you want and then either diet or build up to that look for the shoot.

It builds confidence - if you have never done a photoshoot because you haven’t felt confident enough to that’s exactly why you should, step outside your comfort zone, be brave and look back at the photos with so much pride thinking “is that really me”

gives you a goal to aim towards - like a lot of us dieting for the sake of dieting can be a little boring and hard because there is no end goal when we add a photoshoot to the end of the diet it gives you something to aim towards and a reason on the days your struggling.

It will help you decide if you want to compete - you can run a photoshoot prep the same as a stage prep, strict diet and cardio etc (you can also run it a lot more relaxed too) and see how you get on and if you enjoy it. a lot of ladies don’t want to commit to a stage prep as they are worried they cant commit the time or energy and they might not enjoy it but with a photoshoot prep you can have it as a trial run see if you enjoy it get some amazing pics, see what you look like lean and then reverse and go from there.

off season photoshoot - I also love an off season shoot it allows me to celebrate my off season curves and muscle I have built in that time frame and build confidence in a body many of us find uncomfortable.

Prep shoots - again these are great for not only celebrating that part of your journey and building confidence but also another way to capture your shreds that are’t just stage photos.

If you’re reading this and thinking you would like to try out a photoshoot prep drop me a dm and let’s get planning!
